Calendar & Contacts¶

Besides email you can keep calendars and contacts on the server and sync them with your devices. Appointments and addresses then live in one place and stay current everywhere.

Has to be enabled

If the section does not appear, groupware is not included in your subscription.

Using it in the browser¶

Open Webmail. Calendar and contacts are there alongside your inbox, with no extra setup.

Syncing with a phone or computer¶

Syncing uses CalDAV (calendars) and CardDAV (contacts), which common devices support.

iPhone, iPad and Mac support both out of the box. Add a CalDAV or CardDAV account in the system settings.

Android needs an additional app such as DAVx⁵ from the Play Store.

Thunderbird and Outlook can subscribe to calendars as well.

The server details are listed under Email. In many cases the account configures itself once you enter your email address and password.

Credentials¶

The same as for your mailbox: the full email address as the username and the mailbox password. There is no separate account for calendars and contacts.

Calendars can be shared with other mailboxes of the same domain — in webmail, through the calendar's properties. That way a team sees shared appointments without everyone maintaining them twice.

When syncing does not work¶

First check whether signing in to webmail works. If it does, the problem is in the device settings rather than the account. Common causes are a shortened username — it has to be the full email address — or a device setup that was never completed.
